Frequently Asked Questions

What happened to the original comics?

They have been retired. The stories still existed and happened, but are not important. The stories are secondary now to the upcominng novels.

Why 3D art?

I have always been a fan of 3D art. Sadly, my skill at most conventional forms of art sucks, and as such, it is the one form of art I am good at, since most of the work has been done already. I do have a fair bit of skill in photography, so I used my skills learned with that to create decent scenes.

When did you start this?

I started developing the world in 2012. It was only the early stages, working on one character, but from that came the law firm and the name of the world. And then more characters were created, and the world began to be developed. Various media inspired me. Dresden Files (TV Show, never read the books), Lost Girl, Shadowrun, Bright, and The North Valley Grimoire are all prime inspirations.

Where do you get the stories from?

My stories used to be ‘ripped from the headlines’ as it were for the comics, but the novels are taking a completely different path. I had been developing a behind the scenes plotline for the comic that was going to be the source of all the issues, and then bring it in slowly, but I decided the characters of the law firm were not the ones to tell that story. Krysta Jameson was. And so that’s where she came in, and when the stories started to deviate radically from the original concept. Now we have stories born from my own weird imagination and built from concepts I have seen elsewhere.
